Medical Secretary – Genesis Comfort Care
Looking for a highly organized individual with high work ethic and multi tasking skills for the position of Medical Secretary, reporting to the General Manager and Director of Operations
Ideal candidate should have minimum of 3 to 5 year’s experience with the following:
- Interview patients to obtain case histories
- Good knowledge of medical terminology
- Schedule and confirm appointments with clients
- Able to complete and understand insurance claim forms
- Maintain client files, electronically and physically in a secure and confidential manner
- Arrange travel for Direct Support employees to clients homes as needed
- Set-up and maintain medical reports as needed and prepare monthly reports for the Director of Operations
- Train new DSW hires on software procedures and file records
- Co-ordinate client requirements with DSW’s, update and escalate as needed
- Create DSW schedules, follow-up as needed and as well able to maximize DSW daily visits as efficiently as possible
Start: ASAP
Full-Time Permanent position $21.00/hr
35 hours per week, able to work the occasional Saturday.
Location: 24 McIntyre Place, Kitchener, Ontario N2R 1H7
Education: 2-year Diploma in Business Management or Administrative Management
Soft Skills: Able to multitask, be compassionate, work independently and be detail minded
