OTHER JOB DUTIES
- Develop formal business plans on an area basis as appropriate to implement strategic
vision as set forth by Dencan Restaurants Inc.
- Have existing multilevel experience with Denny’s operations.
- Establish working relationship with field support staff to achieve goals.
- Ensure implementation of human resources planning which takes into account staffing
levels, recruiting, retention, wage/salary/benefits administration, work environment and
morale.
- Evaluate restaurant operations, i.e., food, quality, guest service, sanitation and cost
controls for adherence to Company policies and procedures, through review of Company
monitoring systems and store visits. Follow up to ensure compliance. Take necessary
steps to ensure acceptable requirements are met.
- Prepare the annual market, general, and administrative budgets. Oversee the preparation
of the restaurant budgets. Participate in the establishment of market goals and objectives.
- Initiate through the support staff, action plans to accomplish and evaluate performance of
same. Review results with all levels of management on a periodic basis to ensure progress.
- Responds to guest complaints, review trends, follow up with appropriate personnel to
ensure corrective measures are taken.
- Ensure positive atmosphere is established and maintained with employees through open
communications. Ensure adherence to all Company Human Resources, Federal, and
provincial regulations. Take appropriate measures when necessary.
- Ensure communications with restaurant management concerning implementation of
chain-wide programs, i.e., marketing, maintenance and repair, financial reporting, etc.
- Maintain awareness of competitive marketing programs and apprises supervisor, as well
as key marketing personnel, of major influencing factors. Observe test unit activities and
provides input as appropriate.
- Ensure opportunities to foster professional and personal development of restaurant
management staffs.
- Embody, promote, and teach Denny’s values.
- Conduct regularly scheduled meetings to review P&L performance and current
operational needs.
