Shan Construction Services Ltd needs one (1) Construction Estimator who can start immediately. We are in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

 

Wages:

$38.00 per hour for 30 to 44 hours per week

 

Terms of Employment:

Permanent; Full Time, Part timers will be considered

 

Employment Conditions:

Overtime; Day; Shift; Weekend

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Languages:

English

 

Education and Work Experience:

 

Diploma in civil or construction engineering technology

Or

Several years of experience as a tradesperson, supervisor, or a manager relevant to job requirements

 

Job Duties:

• Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for each project using master format estimate.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
• Manage and coordinate construction projects.
• Estimate the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for construction project from bids, quotations, drawings, and specifications and find ways to reduce costs.
• Decide how the tendering procedure will work, recommend tenders, and conduct negotiations.
• Keep track of cost and money spent during a project.
• Keep a list of suppliers, construction, and subcontractors.
• Record and compare bids from multiple vendors and subcontractors.
