The elderly woman (82 years old) understands only Punjabi Language. Therefore, some understanding of commonly used Punjabi Language words may be beneficial.

Education: Secondary ( high) school graduation certificate

Experience & Requirements:

College or other courses in geriatric or related caregiving may be preferred                                                                 2 year to less than 3-year experience in geriatric or related caregiving

Job duties:

• Provide companionship to an elderly woman (82 years old);
• Assist her in doing her daily activities including bathing, dressing, keeping personal care/hygiene etc.;
• Prepare and serve prescribed nutritious meals;
• Provide bedside and personal care;
• Accompany her to appointments with doctor, physiotherapist and others;
• Ensuring timely administration of medications and routine health-related tasks;
• Accompany her in short walks in the home backyard / nearby parks and assisting her in doing regular easy exercise;
• Keeping safe, hygienic and cheerful environment around her;
• Treat her in a polite/respectful manner.

Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Reference required

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Repetitive tasks, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling

 Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Reliability, Organized, Judgement, Client focus.
