Skills requirements:

• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Language: Basic English
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a farm/nursery is required.

Job duties:
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers who perform the following duties: Interior plant scapes and other areas; spread topsoil and lay sod; spray, prune, cut and remove trees and shrubs; and plant, cultivate and harvest trees, shrubs, flowers and plants.
• Determine plant growing conditions, such as greenhouses, hydroponics, or natural settings, and set planting and care schedules.
• Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general Nursery Workers.
• Train workers in all necessary production tasks.
• Develop work schedules and establish procedures
• Maintain quality control and production records
• May perform general nursery duties.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Heavy lifting required. Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, large workload
Candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must be willing to work on all shifts.
