Responsibilities
Tasks

• Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
• Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
• Arrange for maintenance and repair work
• Maintain work records and logs
• Organize warehouse and work areas
• Resolve work related problems
• Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
• Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies
• Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
• Create, investigate, track and complete work orders
• Monitor production progress
• Project management
• Co-ordinate, assign and review work
• Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
• Forecast production and consumption of products
• Maintain inventory of equipment
• Increase vendor performance, distribution fill rates with effective forecasting and data driven strategies
• Work with sales, operation and supply chain teams on process improvements and identify opportunities for improvement
• Forecast and conduct reviews to check price discrepancies/ savings, service support and overall effectiveness of the program
• May direct distributor partners to purchase food ingredients and restaurant and hotel related items for use or for further processing by the company
• May participate in price negotiation, tenders and quotation review with suppliers
• May determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards
• Develop and guide the distributor supply chain clerks to improve the logistics
