Responsibilities
Tasks
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Monitor movement of supplies and materials between departments
- Arrange for maintenance and repair work
- Maintain work records and logs
- Organize warehouse and work areas
- Resolve work related problems
- Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
- Co-ordinate traffic flow of supplies
- Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
- Create, investigate, track and complete work orders
- Monitor production progress
- Project management
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work
- Schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews and equipment
- Forecast production and consumption of products
- Maintain inventory of equipment
- Increase vendor performance, distribution fill rates with effective forecasting and data driven strategies
- Work with sales, operation and supply chain teams on process improvements and identify opportunities for improvement
- Forecast and conduct reviews to check price discrepancies/ savings, service support and overall effectiveness of the program
- May direct distributor partners to purchase food ingredients and restaurant and hotel related items for use or for further processing by the company
- May participate in price negotiation, tenders and quotation review with suppliers
- May determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions, award supplier contracts or recommend contract awards
- Develop and guide the distributor supply chain clerks to improve the logistics
